The Different Types of Networkers

There are many ways you can classify the different types of networkers. There are many ways to distinguish the various networking animals.

  1. Their reason for going (business hunters, profile raisers)
  2. Their skill level (novices, intermediates, professionals)
  3. Their frequency of networking (ad hoc, regular, junkees)
  4. Type of event (calorie counters, winos, speed networkers)

What You Are NOT Saying to Plant Referral Seeds

In my motivational presentations on winning more referral business, I often mention the power of sowing referral seeds.

This is where you prime people IN ADVANCE so they know the following five things:

  1. That you want MORE BUSINESS!
  2. That you want it BY REFERRAL!
  3. That you're GOING TO ASK THEM FOR IT!
  4. That they're going to GIVE IT TO YOU
  5. That they're going to FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!
