Day 3 - How Do You Measure Your Reputation

Business turnaround expert and transformation leader Stephen Bailey asked me a great question this week at THE PERFECT TIME!

As I get my teeth into 'celebrity status in 90 days' with this social media experiment, he asked me the following:

"If I wanted to measure my reputation, as at today, how would I do it?"

It made me think about what I'm doing with this 90 day 'Zero to Hero' experiment with social media.

  • How will I know how far I've come?
  • How will I measure success?
  • How do I benchmark my impact, influence and reputation?
  • How will I know the ROI fo this endeavour?

Well we've got some fantastic metrics on these social media sites. So I'm logging the following measurements and numbers daily and diligently:

  • contacts
  • invitations received and sent
  • profiles viewed and profile hits
  • followers and follwed by
  • rankings
  • likes
  • postings and messages
  • replies and comments

Yes, I've set some tangible, measurable (even income-related) goals for this experiment. But a measure of my reputation is going to be how VISIBLE and how CREDIBLE I am in 90 days.

I'll be sharing these measurements in future blogs. The important thing is that I've tracked them from the beginning, so we know where I've come from!

Now I'm going to post some questions on Ecademy and LinkedIn to get answers to this question from the wonderful online community!
